Turn Off Auto-Connect

Many devices automatically connect to available Wi-Fi networks without verifying their security. This can put your data at risk if your device unknowingly connects to a rogue hotspot set up by hackers.

🔹Example: You’re walking through a shopping mall, and your phone automatically connects to “Free_Mall_WiFi.” If that network is fake, hackers could capture your browsing activity, passwords, and personal messages.

🔹Tip: On your phone or laptop, go to Wi-Fi settings and disable the auto-connect feature. Instead, manually select trusted networks when needed.
